The charger uses a two-stage charging algorithm to efficiently charge the lithium-ion battery. In the first stage, a constant current of 10A is applied to the battery. This rapidly increases the voltage until the battery reaches around 80% capacity. The charger then switches to constant voltage mode to slowly top off the remaining charge. This gentle second-stage charging helps extend the battery\'s lifespan by preventing overcharging. The intelligent CC/CV process can fully charge the 100Ah lithium battery in about 10 hours.
Weight and Portability
At only 11kg for the 100Ah lithium battery and 1.6kg for the charger, this entire portable power system weighs just 12.6kg in total. In comparison, a similar capacity lead-acid battery would weigh over 40kg. The ultra-lightweight lithium design makes the battery and charger extremely portable. When traveling by motorhome, trailer, or other vehicle, the reduced weight load allows for increased fuel efficiency, easier handling, and a more comfortable experience. Whether boondocking or dry camping, the lightweight yet high-capacity battery provides reliable mobile power.
Battery Safety and Protection
The lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells used in the pack are of automotive-grade quality. They offer higher energy density and more stable performance compared to lead-acid. An upgraded 100A battery management system (BMS) continuously monitors the battery for safe operation. The BMS prevents damage from overcharging, over-discharging, high currents, abnormal voltages, overloads, and short circuits. This extensive protection system maximizes the battery\'s lifespan even under demanding conditions.
Warranty and Lifespan
We back our products with industry-leading warranties. The lithium battery carries a 5-year warranty and the charger a 2-year warranty. Most importantly, the LiFePO4 battery chemistry is rated for 4000-15000 charge cycles or a lifespan of 10+ years with proper care and use. This is over 3 times longer than a comparable lead-acid battery. The extended lifespan saves money by reducing replacement costs over the battery\'s lifetime.
